Chemistry Engineering Department
 
 

Department of Chemistry Engineering was established in 2003 and three courses as chemistry engineering and technique,environment engineering and energy chemistry engineering have been opened for undergraduates. Efforts are made to enable students to be qualified for overall administration of productive technology, transformation and innovation in enterprises characterized by chemical engineering.

There are 650 students in the department and the staff is composed of 33 full-time teachers. Among them 6 are associate professors, 4 are associate professors, 13 lecturers and 10 teaching assistants. Three teachers have been granted their PHD and 14 of them their Master Degree.


Department of Chemistry Engineering attaches great importance to construction of major. For instance, the concept that equal attention is paid to engineering and technique to highlight characteristics of crude oil refinement and petro-chemical engineering has been taken effects. It is unprecedented to foreground petroleum and technique feature attached to chemical engineering and technique in counterparts of other dependant colleges in Heilongjiang Province, which is significant in the petrochemical field.

The teaching staffs in Chemistry Engineering Department are capable of teaching and scientific research. One textbook has been published. 3 projects that are concerning teaching reformation of Heilongjiang Department of Education are being carried out with one of them being finished and 5 projects guided by Heilongjiang Department of Education with one of them being finished. More than 50 articles have been published in recent years, including 11 by SCI and 1 by EI.


Department of Chemistry Engineering has cultivated graduates for 4 consecutive years. Most of them are working in state-owned enterprises and some chose to further study in top domestic universities.

Environment Engineering

The major is aimed at cultivating talents who are equipped with creativity of thoughts, ideas and abilities and application-oriented talents of technological engineering, with a good command of knowledge of water, air, sound, sediment, soil and basic skills of disposing solid waste; design and administration, supervision and analysis of environment, control and administration of environment, quality evaluation of environment and protection of environment and resources.

  6. Project of Controlling Air Pollution

Our graduates are qualified to work in either departments of governmental environment protection, design, environment supervision, environment protection and management or enterprises, institutions of higher learning and research, engaging in administration, design, construction, study and development of new technology and teaching.

The educational length is 4 years and students of science are eligible to recruit. Graduates are conferred bachelor degree for engineering.

Chemical Engineering and Technology

This major aims to cultivate the practice-oriented technical talents with basic mechanical engineering, who have the creative thought and innovation ability, the solid foundation and skill in chemical engineering and technology, who master the modern means of science and technology, who understand the advanced studies of oil refining, petrochemical industry, chemical engineering and technology, and who should be qualified for the jobs of chemical engineering and technology, especially for the jobs of oil refining, and the jobs of production, management, designing, research and development of petrochemical industry.

The Main Courses:

  1. Basic Organic Chemical Engineering and Technology

  2. Oil Refining Engineering

  3. Principals of Chemical Engineering

  4. Separation Engineering, etc.

After graduation, the graduates will take up an occupation in such production enterprises or designing and research groups as Petroleum Processing and Petrochemicals, Basic Organic Chemical Engineering and Technology, Fine Chemicals, Fertilizer Manufacturing and the other fields of Chemical industry.

This professional educational system includes four years, recruiting students of science and engineering only. The graduates will be awarded BE degree.

Energy Chemical Engineering

This major aims to cultivate the applied engineering and technology talents, who have the creative thought and innovation ability, who have the solid foundation and skill in energy chemical engineering and technology, who have a good knowledge and follow the latest department of solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy and such kind of renewable energy chemical engineering and technology., and who should be qualified for the jobs of energy chemical engineering and technology, mainly for the jobs of scientific research, designing, production and management of solar photoelectric chemical technology, the development and utilization of biomass energy production, low carbon and clean energy technology application and other related fields.

  2. Chemical Reaction Engineering

  3. Oil Refining Engineering

  4. New Energy materials and its Application

  5. Clean Energy Technologies

  6. Solar Photoelectric Chemical Technology, etc.


After graduation, the graduates will take up an occupation in such production enterprises or designing and research groups as Solar Photoelectric Chemical Engineering, Low Carbon and Clean Energy Chemical Engineering, Energy Materials Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Fine Chemicals, and the other fields of Chemical industry.

This professional educational system includes four years, recruiting students of science and engineering only. The graduates will be awarded BE degree
